This type of low-speed centrifuge features a relatively simple structure and is available in two forms: small benchtop and floor-standing models. They are typically equipped with a drive motor, speed regulator, and timer, making them easy to operate. The rotational speed of a low-speed centrifuge generally does not exceed 4000 rpm, while benchtop high-speed centrifuges can reach up to 18,000 rpm.

• Rotate the speed control knob smoothly and gradually (over approximately 1–2 minutes) until the desired speed is reached. Begin timing only after the speed has stabilized.
• After centrifugation, slowly return the control knob to the zero position.
