Main Functions:

  1. Ensures uniform mixing of reactants and even distribution of temperature.
  2. Prevents bumping when heating in a closed container—for example, during distillation, magnetic stirring can replace boiling chips.
  3. Accelerates reaction or evaporation processes, thereby shortening operation time.

Working Principle:
A magnetic stirrer operates based on the repulsion between like magnetic poles. By continuously alternating the polarity of the magnetic field at the base, the magnetic stir bar inside the vessel is driven to rotate, achieving effective mixing.
